British Association of Cardiovascular Prevention & Rehabilitation
The BACPR is governed by a Council elected from the membership, which is representative of the professions noted above and drawn from the four nations of the UK. It operates as a Charity (registered number 1135639) limited by guarantee and hence its Constitution is in keeping with the Charities Act and rules of business in accordance with Companies House.
Aim
To provide, develop and improve core standards to ensure the safe and effective delivery of cardiovascular prevention and rehabilitation practice and programmes throughout the UK.

- To produce national guidelines for cardiovascular disease prevention and rehabilitation, which will improve the safety and standards of programmes throughout the UK
- Developing education and training programmes
- To facilitate communication amongst members
- To liaise with other professional associations to promote the practice of cardiovascular disease prevention and rehabilitation
